A614

A614 is a 2013 Horton 603 Type 1 on an F550 4X4 chassis. It is powered by a Ford 6.7L diesel engine. A614 is done in our traditional white ambulance with a red “hockey-stick” stripe with white scotch-lite in the middle of the red stripe. It also incorporates our traditional lettering style. This unit is the first unit to have high visibility chevrons on the back of the unit for safety. A614 is the first ambulance that has only LED lighting. The unit is also equipped with a remote controlled spotlight on the roof of the cab. It is an advanced life support transport equipped as per Virginia Department of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services regulations. It is also equipped with a Mermaid brand temperature controlled drug box. It uses a Kelderman air-ride suspension and kneeling system for the rear to allow for a smoother ride and easier load. After the unit was placed in service it was outfitted with a Stryker Power Pro cot and Stryker Power Load System. This was the first in Loudoun County to have this option. This unit is the oldest ambulance in our fleet. We hope to be able to have this unit to serve the community until 2024.

A614B

A614B is a 2017 Braun Express Plus on an F450 4X4 chassis. It is powered by a Ford 6.7L diesel engine. A614B is done in our traditional white ambulance with a red “hockey-stick” stripe with white scotch-lite in the middle of the red stripe. It also incorporates our traditional lettering style. The unit is equipped with LED lights, the rumbler, as well as a train horn to alert people during emergency responses. It is an advanced life support transport equipped as per the Virginia Department of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services regulations. It is also equipped with a Templox brand temperature controlled drug box. It uses a Liquid-ride suspension and kneeling system for the rear to allow for a smoother ride and easier load. It was outfitted with a Stryker Power Pro cot and Stryker Power Load System.

A614C

A614C is a 2020 Horton 457 Type 1 on an F550 4X4 chassis. It is powered by a Ford 6.4L diesel engine. A614C is done in our traditional white ambulance with a red “hockey-stick” stripe with white scotch-lite in the middle of the red stripe. It also incorporates our traditional lettering style. The unit uses a combination of rotator lights in the front light bar as well as LED lights on the bottom of the light bar This unit uses a combination of LED and strobe lights to complete the lighting package. It is an advanced life support transport equipped as per the Virginia Department of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services regulations. It is also equipped with a Templox brand temperature controlled drug box. It uses a Granning air-ride suspension and kneeling system for the rear to allow for a smoother ride and easier load. It uses a standard Stryker cot for patient transport. This unit is the newest ambulance in our fleet.

ALS614

ALS614 is a 2015 Chevrolet 4X4 Tahoe Advanced Life Support rapid response vehicle. This unit was built by Fastlane Emergency Vehicles. It is powered by a 5.3 L V-8 engine. This unit is the first rapid response vehicle to incorporate our traditional ambulance style graphics package. This unit is the first of our chase vehicles to incorporate the safety chevrons on the back of the unit. This is the first of our units to include a “rumbler” type siren to assist us with other drivers being able to hear our unit. The rumbler uses low-frequency additions into the siren cycle. It is fully advanced life support non-transport equipped as per the Virginia Department of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services regulations. It is also equipped with a Templox brand temperature controlled drug box.

ALS614B

ALS614B is a 2005 Chevrolet 4X4 Tahoe Advanced Life Support rapid response vehicle. This unit was built by Fastlane Emergency Vehicles. It is powered by a 4.8 L Vortec V-8 engine. It is fully advanced life support non-transport equipped as per the Virginia Department of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services regulations. It is also equipped with a Templox brand temperature controlled drug box. This is our reserve ALS Chase vehicle and is used for back up or when we have a second ALS provider available.

CAR614

CAR614 is a 2005 Chevrolet 4X4 Trailblazer Basic Life Support rapid response vehicle. This unit was also built by Fastlane Emergency Vehicle. It is powered by a 4.2 L 6-cylinder engine. It is fully equipped as a basic life support vehicle as per the Virginia Department of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services regulations. This unit is used for stand-by events, extra personnel to respond to incidents, and for members to attend training classes.
