Introducing A614, our newest ambulance: a 2025 Frazer Type 1 built on the robust International CV515 chassis and powered by a 6.6L Duramax engine. Designed for both performance and patient comfort, A614 features state-of-the-art liquid spring suspension, ensuring a smooth ride and easier loading for patients. This unit debuts Frazer’s innovative HAAS alert system—a unique safety feature that notifies nearby vehicles via CarPlay when the ambulance is approaching, enhancing safety for both responders and the community. A614 is the first Frazer in the NOVA region, sporting our traditional white exterior accented by a bold new shade of red in a "hockey-stick" stripe and a white scotch-lite reflective stripe for increased visibility. The ambulance showcases updated lettering and new graphics on the rear privacy windows, including images of both our current and original company patches as a tribute to the Rescue Squad’s founders. This is the first unit in our fleet equipped with fixed flood lights on all four sides and an intuitive light dimming system for the emergency lights at night to reduce the “Moth-Effect” on other drives. A614 also pioneers the use of an Ultraviolet Disinfection system to maintain a cleaner and safer environment which is a first in the region. A614 is outfitted for Advanced Life Support in accordance with Virginia Office of EMS standards, this ambulance also features the new Stryker Power-LOAD system paired with the Stryker Power-PRO 2 stretcher, setting a new standard for safety and efficiency. A614 redefines what it means to deliver care on the move, combining innovation, safety and tradition into one exceptional unit.

A614C

A614C is a 2020 Horton 457 Type 1 on an F550 4X4 chassis. It is powered by a Ford 6.4L diesel engine. A614C is done in our traditional white ambulance with a red “hockey-stick” stripe with white scotch-lite in the middle of the red stripe. It also incorporates our traditional lettering style. The unit uses a combination of rotator lights in the front light bar as well as LED lights on the bottom of the light bar This unit uses a combination of LED and strobe lights to complete the lighting package. It is an advanced life support transport equipped as per the Virginia Department of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services regulations. It is also equipped with a Templox brand temperature controlled drug box. It uses a Granning air-ride suspension and kneeling system for the rear to allow for a smoother ride and easier load. It uses a standard Stryker cot for patient transport. This unit is the newest ambulance in our fleet.

ALS614

ALS614 is a 2015 Chevrolet 4X4 Tahoe Advanced Life Support rapid response vehicle. This unit was built by Fastlane Emergency Vehicles. It is powered by a 5.3 L V-8 engine. This unit is the first rapid response vehicle to incorporate our traditional ambulance style graphics package. This unit is the first of our chase vehicles to incorporate the safety chevrons on the back of the unit. This is the first of our units to include a “rumbler” type siren to assist us with other drivers being able to hear our unit. The rumbler uses low-frequency additions into the siren cycle. It is fully advanced life support non-transport equipped as per the Virginia Department of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services regulations. It is also equipped with a Templox brand temperature controlled drug box.

ALS614B

ALS614B is a 2005 Chevrolet 4X4 Tahoe Advanced Life Support rapid response vehicle. This unit was built by Fastlane Emergency Vehicles. It is powered by a 4.8 L Vortec V-8 engine. It is fully advanced life support non-transport equipped as per the Virginia Department of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services regulations. It is also equipped with a Templox brand temperature controlled drug box. This is our reserve ALS Chase vehicle and is used for back up or when we have a second ALS provider available.
